Being able to be creative, and the freedom to program it.

Being able to do what you like, economic security and the affection of loved ones.

It happens that laziness takes over my projects.

Many artists… Moebius, Romano Scarpa, Jack Kirby, Carl Barks, Albert Uderzo, Adam Hughes, Stuart Immonen, Alan Davis, Brian Bolland, Mahmud Asrar, Neal Adams, Sara Pichelli…
What is my greatest extravagance?
I draw comics… for many already this is extravagance!
On what occasion would I lie?
Rarely… I try not to lie and to be honest…
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
When a page is approved and then other corrections arrive… and then wait for payments.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
I believe when I saw my first work published professionally in 1999 … it was a great satisfaction.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
Absolutely less laziness.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
I think when I was first published in the United States, in 2018… it was a first goal of a long journey that I started professionally.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me?
Having economic freedom is essential to be able to live in peace… but not being able to do what you love makes you unhappy.
Where would I most like to live?
I love the place where I live, but if I chose another place to live I think it would be London…
What is my most treasured possession?
As an object, I think it is a pencil that I lent to Moebius (one of the greatest comics artist), to make drawings at a comic convention in Italy years ago, and which I keep as a relic…
What is my most marked characteristic?
I think the sense of humor in life, and professionalism in work (but this must be confirmed by the others I work with!).
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
Not in my city, but in my home: the studio where I work.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
My house with my family.
What books influenced my life and how?
I do not have a particular book that has changed my life… but in the world of comics I think that Watchemen is the book that made me understand the enormous potential of creating comics.
Who are my favorite writers?
I always read everything … for literature among many: Jorge Louis Borges, Umberto Eco, Agatha Christie… in comics Carl Barks, René Goscinny, Alan Moore.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
Absolutely the Beatles … I’m a huge fan and collector … I think the last thing I want to listen is the album Abbey Road, my favorite.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
Many! But I had to choose one, I would say Number 6 the protagonist of the cult tv series “The Prisoner”…
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Anyone can carry on their dream and anyone can help others with their actions.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
Absolutely “The Shawshank Redemption”.
What role plays art in my life and work?
I draw from what I remember… for me art is what characterizes the human being … I look with suspicion who does not appreciate art (in all its forms).
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
Absolutely my wife Orietta, who has always supported me in my dream.
Whom would I like to work with in 2019?
I would like to work with all those professionals whose stories I have read for years and that I have always appreciated as a reader.
