What is the best thing that I love about my work?
I love to see the models that I have made in video-games. I like to play War Thunder and it is an amazing feeling that I am participating in its development. In general, I love the whole process of working. I like to transform a flat image into a 3d model. It is also very interesting to discover how vehicles and mechanisms are working.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness does not exist, there will always be room for improvement. Still, I will be happy to work in an iconic project, such as Witcher, The Last of Us, Uncharted etc. Also, I’m thinking about moving to the seaside or ocean coast.
What is my greatest fear?
My greatest fear is to have a job that I hate.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I deplore my hyper-responsibility. It means that I am always anxious about my arrangements and deadlines. It may sound funny or like an advertisement, but it is not funny for me. Sometimes I am unable to fall asleep because I have a deadline in 5 days, not even in 5 hours.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
Fausto De Martini and Daniel Thiger are awesome, they are at another level of expertise. Also, I like the concepts and a style of Mathew O.
What is my greatest extravagance?
My greatest extravagance is traveling. I become a new person in each of trips, as new emotions and experiences expand my horizons. Apart from this, I have a car which is expensive to maintain and service. This car was my dream since I was a teenager. I love to drive it and to drift. Those things inspire me and give me the energy to work a lot.
On what occasion would I lie?
This is a difficult question because, honestly, one of my life principles is not to lie. From my perspective, a lie is some kind of immaturity. When adults lie, they look like kids)) I can avoid an answer if I don’t want to tell the truth, but I strongly believe that lying is not necessary. Perhaps, I could lie not to hurt someone’s feelings.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I hate to be unable to upload my work to my portfolio because of a non-disclosure agreement. I hate to wait for permission to show my work as well. I dislike when a management team changes the plan half way through.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
I have been interested in 3d graphics and effects since I first saw them in video games and movies. But I thought that you can find this job only in the Silicon Valley, not Ukraine. So, when I earned first money for 3d models, I was happy. I was also glad to get the first offer from a company which was running an AAA project.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I would be happy not to worry so much about my responsibilities.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
I am a self-taught artist. And I have worked in 3 AAA projects (War Thunder, Enlisted, War Robots) which have millions of players. I have participated in a huge VR game, the name of which is, unfortunately, under NDA.
Where would I most like to live?
I love Spain. The weather, the architecture and the atmosphere are amazing. I am going to explore this country more. I like Kyiv as well. The only thing I hate about Ukraine is winter. I think it would be great to spend winter in Spain and summer in Kyiv.
What is my most treasured possession?
My car.
What is my most marked characteristic?
People say that my most marked characteristic is a sense of humor and optimism. That’s why there were no jokes in this interview))
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
Obolonskaya waterfront and Natalka’s park.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
There are many places with good food in Kyiv, so it’s hard for me to choose just one. But I am absolutely sure that my favorite place to eat in Ayia Napa (Cypres) is Εν γεύω ταβερνάκι en yevo tavernaki. I have ever eaten the best lamb there.
What books influenced my life and how?
The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. The book gives financial advice through a collection of parables set 8,000 years ago in ancient Babylon. I did not become rich after reading this book, but I stopped being a spender.
Who are my favorite writers?
My favorite writer is Mikhail Bulgakov. The way how he showed a worthlessly of The Soviet Union is genius. I like the phrases and dialogues from his novels. Actually, I have not read many fiction books since I prefer to read technical books and self-help books.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
I am a music freak. I can listen to rap, classic, rock and pop within ten minutes, but in general I prefer something energetic. If I had to choose only one, I would choose Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
Geralt of Rivia is awesome. He doesn’t speak a lot, he is a person of action. I like his sense of humor and brutality. I am also a big fan of Witcher 3 game. He is definitely the best video game character of all time.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Thomas Edison is my hero. He was an inventor of many things, but the most popular was a light bulb. He is the best example of persistence. He had many failures but never gave up. My favourite quote of him is: I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

What role plays art in my life and work?
I am a 3D artist, so it does play an important role. I need to use the laws of classical art in my job, such as composition, color mixing etc. From my perspective, it is a good idea to use a creative approach in any area of life.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
I would say it’s my wife. She believes in me and believes me. We can be partners in crime as well))

What project, in 2020, am I looking forward to work on?
I am already working on some interesting AAA projects. I am looking forward to getting an offer from really great projects. I want to get something new in 2020.
