What is the best thing that I love about my work?
Touch other lives with my creations. Reading comments from people saying how what I write and draw touched them doesn’t have a price.
What is my idea of happiness?
Consciousness. Consciousness to know that every single day has its own lesson and guide me to the best of me, always and always. Looking at life like an apprentice is the best way to find happiness, even on difficult days. There is always something to learn behind them. Happiness comes from acceptance of what you are and the life you live. It brings you consciousness to see all the good things life puts in your way.
What is my greatest fear?
Die without expressing my own truth. Be myself in completeness.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
My “eight or eighty” attitude. I have difficulty finding balance in some situations.
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
Maurício de Souza, the brazilian cartoonist who created A Turma da Mônica (The Monica’s Gang) and Juliana Fiorese, a brazilian illustrator from my city, João Pessoa. I could say a lot of other professionals who I love the work, but it would be a long list.
What is my greatest extravagance?
Be myself in a world like this one. This is the most extravagant thing a human can dare to do.
On what occasion would I lie?
To protect someone from a truth they are not ready to know and in consequence to protect myself.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
A short deadline.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
When a girl made a comment in one of my texts in my Instagram account thanking me for the words I said and saying to not stop my work. It meant a lot to me.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I would like to find more balance between my thoughts, desires and feelings. And take it easy with myself. It’s not impossible.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Reach as many people as possible with my words and create something big and solid enough to stay relevant for decades. Not humble goals, admittedly. It’s the kind of thing that only time can do. Maybe I’m not here to see it happen anymore.
Where would I most like to live?
I don’t know exactly where, but I could say some place quiet and cold.
What is my most treasured possession?
My diaries.
What is my most marked characteristic?
My justice sense.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
The historic downtown of my city. I love Brazil’s colonial era architecture.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink in my city?
I would have to go out to eat more often to be able to answer this question.
What books influenced my life and how?
Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke, definitely.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day?
The Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
The Tramp (Carlitos in Brazil) by Charlie Chaplin. His ability to be kind and loving even in the midst of painful situations is charming and moving. A beautiful representation of the human condition, which even in the confused and turbulent world we live in, manages to express love through acts of kindness.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Walt Disney definitely is one of them for the capacity to touch thousands of hearts with stories about hope, love and encouraging imagination.
Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime?
It’s a Wonderful Life, a movie from 1946 directed by Frank Capra. It is a touching story about kindness and the real meaning of life.
What role play stories in my life and work?
The stories mean a lot, it was there when I needed to be strong and I felt lonely, it was there to comfort my spirit. And the way I tell my own story (the truth, the sincerity of it) can impact a lot of people.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?
Power, fear and just a little bit of freedom cause I don’t believe we have so much power of choice how we think we have.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My good and few friends. They believed in me at times when I couldn’t even believe in myself.
Which people or companies would I like to work with?
I would love to work with Maurício de Souza, the brazilian cartoonist who created the comic and franchise A Turma da Mônica (Monica’s gang). I would love to write something to the Monica’s gang.
And the other one is the Disney Studios. I’m enchanted by their passion to create stories.
What project am I looking forward to work on?
I’m writing my first book and it’s making me feel enthusiast.

That there is an inner desire impossible to reject inside of which one of us. And if you try to avoid it, you die still in life.
