Peter de Kuster: Your Call to Adventure (online one-on-one experience)

On Thursday the 28th of January, Peter de Kuster introduces for the Hero’s Journey in Amsterdam interactive one – on – one sessions on his favourite topic: creativity! In his characteristically wise and witty style, the bestselling author of The Hero’s Journey and The Heroine’s Journey, will invite you to make more space for curiosity and start living more creatively.  

According to Peter, being human means being creative. Humans are able to create things no one ever asked for, just because they can. With this precious gift of creativity, we give meaning to our lives and those of others. At the same time, being human also means that we can experience fear. And unfortunately, fear has a tendency of stifling our creativity and stopping us from enjoying the things we are doing.   

At this moment we are in the middle of the first wave of the corona pandemic. In the course of this event, Peter will share a few of his characteristic ways for dealing with fear and uncertainty. His main message? Don’t try to counter difficult moments by pushing them away but approach them with a sense of curiosity. Instead of thinking ‘this is terrible’, try to say to yourself: ‘hmm, this is actually interesting.’  See it as a Call to Adventure. Paying attention to your curiosity can prevent you from talking yourself down and can help you find creative openings to move beyond the situation.  

At this new interactive one – on -one session, Peter will talk with you about how you can cultivate a truly creative mindset, how you can fuel our curiosity and how you can go beyond the known. But the interactive one-on-one session will not be all talk. Under Peter’s guidance, you will get a unique chance to put your creativity into practice. Specially for this event, Peter will prepare creative assignments that will challenge you to stretch your thinking and experience your limitless creative potential. Peter is writer of the series The Heroine’s Journey and Hero’s Journey books, he has an MBA in Marketing,  MBA in Financial Economics and graduated at university in Sociology and Communication Sciences.
