Storytelling for Engagement

Our Storytelling for Employee Engagement

Bringing people together to talk and share their stories is key to workplace engagement. Creating space for discussion and social discovery elevates an organisation from a group of individuals to a well-integrated team; one where colleagues understand each other’s mindset and preferences, the particular stories which inform who they are and how they see the world.

From the after-dinner speeches of Ancient Greece to the salons in Paris and coffeehouses of the Enlightenment, some of history’s greatest discussions have taken place in casual surroundings. Whilst present world events have made it harder to gather together in person, that same spirit of open-minded inquiry can still be captured in a virtual setting, and our Storytelling events have been designed as a leisurely guide across a range of topics – from the personal to the profound. Bringing people together in an atmosphere of story-provoking exchange and exploration. Using a combination of short talks and structured discussions, Peter de Kuster will lead you through an adventurous session of big ideas and eye-opening perspectives. One which creates space to share stories, ideas, ask questions and reflect on the world around us.

Whether your team is already well-acquainted and in need of a catch-up or just recently brought together, our Storytelling events are designed to help you feel better connected in turbulent times.

Our Storytelling event on The Importance of Storytelling is a chance to think through literature, film, art, design and popular media, taking in a range of theories on why storytelling matters.

Our Storytelling event on Identity and Knowing Your Own Story is a chance to examine the roots of who we are and what we believe, incorporating key ideas from a number of philosophical traditions.

Our Storytelling event around Making Money Doing What You Love is a chance to talk about the challenges of pursuing a career you love.

Storytelling events are hosted by Peter de Kuster and his team for groups of up to 100 people. Peter and his team will lead the conversation, and with the participants being placed into ‘breakout rooms’ for intimate small-group discussions throughout.
