The Hero’s Journey of Adriano Giannini

What is the best thing that I love about my work? Working with creativity is how to be a magician, it gives me the opportunity to use the joy and amazement to create value. Every time I have a good idea, it’s as partial lighting, a small existential orgasm that makes me enjoy life.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? When you manage to coincide perfectly with what you were born.

What is my greatest fear? Be limited by fear.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? The arrogance accompanied by certain forms of neglect and social exclusion.

What is my greatest extravagance? When I want to pull me, I turn on the phone and I lie. But they are also fine the dishwasher or vacuum cleaner. As a child I was an unwitting lover and observer of the white noise.

On what occasion would I lie? Never. But it could be a lie.

What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life? I call myself a ‘rule breaker’. For me, the models must be known, understood and used if necessary; but above all to be overcome.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? The dark side of creativity is the insecurity, uncertainty. Economic too often. To this I would add a certain difficulty of integration, inability to comply with the rules and the common thought.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? When I was able to prove the correctness of a view, initially not understood or appreciated, through the implementation and success of the idea had.

If I could, what would I change about myself? Anything, because everything is to become who you really are.

What is my greatest achievement in work? No doubt the Narratè© the essence of life, An original food design product, it consists of a teabag to which a booklet is attached, which can be read in just the time needed to brew the tea (5 minutes). Countless developable editorial lines and the containable themes. A perfect storytelling tool as it also contains the engagement mode to be read. In addition to summarizing in itself the criteria of the Tsunesaburo Makiguchi’s theory of value, “gain, good and beauty.”

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? My terrace where, every night, to photograph the sunset.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? RED Feltrinelli (a library with restaurant) in Piazza Gae Aulenti, at the foot of the new skyscrapers of Milan.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? I like to think my mentor: Daisaku Ikeda.

Whom would I like to work with in the future? I’d like to be able to work with the likes of Daisaku Ikeda caliber, Pope Francis, Michelle Obama, Gino Strada but also Beppe Grillo, Alex Zanardi, proposing the publication of their narrated © through which many people pass on to their essence, values and the vision they have of life.

What project, in the nearby future, am I looking forward to work on? At the international Narratè© development.
