What is the best thing that I love about my work?
Being my own boss gives me the freedom to follow my passion in creativity, so it comes natural and does not feel like work at all. Connecting with a wide range of people from all walks of life.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
Having dinner with my beloved spouse and friends in an outdoor setting, where everybody was involved in making one of the dishes and telling stories.
What is my greatest fear?
To be alone in this world and having no imagination anymore.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
That my driven enthusiasm overtakes me from listening to my environment.
What is my greatest extravagance?
My shoe collection of over 250 pairs, can’t stop buying that very special pair.
On what occasion would I lie?
Being tortured I guess I would lie. Otherwise you can pretty much see when I would.
What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life?
I don’t think I did/do have role models, although I have artists/friends I admire.
I work very intuitive.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
Working on different projects at the same time means, I’m never finished working and it’s hard to take a break and turn it off.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
That was during my installation “Follow Me” a tunnel project where an elderly woman wanted to speak to me and shared the tunnel experience overcame her fear of being in a coma again. Which happened to her 20 years ago.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
Like to be more patient, age less fast.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Being able to share my work to a global community and inspire people.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
Being on my bicycle getting through New York taking me to all corners and places.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
“Ping”, the best dim sum in China town or best lobster roll at “Burger & Lobster”
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My spouse is my everything: my imaginary friend became real almost 18 years ago.

Launching my “Big Apple Bag” a men’s leather bag collection.
