What is the best thing that I love about my work? For me is the possibility for creating. When you are drawing or animating you get create your own world. This is fascinating!
What is my idea of perfect happiness? Happiness is a state of consciousness. I believe that happiness is several pieces in your life, it´s not a long track; it´s like portions added in that track spreaded in your life, you know. When I finish a drawing or an animation I feel happy, when I´m with my family and friends I feel happy, when I´m in peace with myself I feel happy.
What is my greatest fear? My greatest fear would be can´t draw for some reason. I need to draw. It´s my best way to express in the world.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Perfectionism. This thing disturb me sometimes. I have the tendency to want the stuff going well and organized. Sometimes this is bad because you don´t get to control everything. Then, you just let it go.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Hayao Miyasaki, Isao Takahata, Katsuhiro Otomo, Sylvain Chomet, John Lasseter, Michael Dudok, Cyril Pedrosa and Mauricio de Sousa. There is a lot of living people that I really admire but I think theses ones are the most remarkable.
What is my greatest extravagance? Maybe buy comicbooks. I always buy a comicbook when I go a bookstore. One of my hobbies is enter on the bookstore and waste time there, looking for illustration books and comics.
On what occasion would I lie? I don´t like to lie. Really. I feel embarrassing with that situation. I´m not good on that. I would lie if it was to help a friend I noticed a extreme necessity.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? The automatic parts when everything is almost done. On animation for example, you pass for the clean up, this part is very technical. You have to redraw all the drawings, one by one, with a great precision for each frame.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I think that the next project will be the one that I gonna feel more happy. I don´t try to concentrate in the past projects, always thinking on the next ones. I think it´s a way to create a creative cycle in my mind.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I would like to be less anxious. I always think in my future and the things that could happen. This situation creates an anxiety state on me. This is not good. I know that.
What is my greatest achievement in work? My greatest achievement in work is get international jobs working on Brazil, in my city Goiania and make our own projects. It´s possible.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me? ´The Financial Freedom to Create´ means to me the pure creative possibility.
Where would I most like to live? Near to my family. Actually I live with my family, so I´m on the right place.
What is my most treasured possession? My sketchbook. It´s where my ideas comes from.
What is my most marked characteristic? According to my friends they always told me that I tend to be honest and perfectionist.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? Not a specific place. But our studio is a location that I like to concentrate to work.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? Don Guina, a pub in my city with a great song to have fun.
What books influenced my life and how? The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Mark Twain) and Manuelzao e Miguilim (Guimaraes Rosa). These books are special for me. The adventures of the characters, the infant phase, the children characters are playful aspects that stimulates my creativity.
Who are my favorite writers? Mark Twain, Machado de Assis and Guimaraes Rosa.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? I would probably listen Bob Dylan´s songs and a brazilian singer called Lenine.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Some Miyasaki character. I don´t like super heroes with that super powers that move away from humans. In my opinion, heroes need to be similar with human beings, showing theirs weakness and qualities.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My dad and my mother. They always help me, giving advices. Helping to overcome obstacles, always by my side. They are my great examples in my life.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I really like the Michel Gondry´s vision for that film. Amazing.
What role plays art in my life and work? Art is everything to me. My dad is a fine artist and architect, so since I was a child, talking about art was natural to me. We always talk about art in my home due that atmosphere accessible that comes of my father. Both for me and for my brother.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My dad and my brother. My father is a fine artist and architect and always understands my profession and help me a lot. Me and my brother are the founders Provincia Studio, our illustration and animation studio here in Brazil.
Whom would I like to work with in 2017? Animation Brazilian director Alê Abreu. He directed his animated feature film ´Boy and the World´. I really like that. It´s amazing.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2017? Michael Dudok. Recently he has finished his animated feature film ´The Red Turtle´ and I would like to talk with him about that.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? “Passion Never Retires” means to me that artistic feeling exist. As artist, you feel the necessity to create. It´s not to show to someone, it´s just that necessity to express. If you don´t do that, you die, you feel depressed. Art passion, passion for draw and animate is life, it´s something to moves you forward. It´s essencial.
