What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love the fact that my job is bringing smile and happiness to people. I think what I like most about my job is that it makes people feel good.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? Perfect happiness is when you are appreciative and happy with what you got.
What is my greatest fear? My greatest fear is to waste my time, failure is nothing to be scared off, giving in to the fear of failure is the most scaring thing.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I don’t know how to take vacations, I am a workaholic. i need to learn how to stop sometimes and smell the roses.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Sting for his early work till 1993 and Paul McCartney for everything he did.
What is my greatest extravagance? i think I’m an active artist, I’m dancing, flipping my hair, going all around the place, and i think my actions with my bass guitar is my trade mark.
On what occasion, would I lie? I don’t lie. However, if one day god will bless me with kids, if my child’s life would depend on it, I would lie.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? I think the ultimate struggle between art and finance is something I dislike about this job. The sacrifice you need to make in order to fulfil your dreams.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Every time I finish a new song, every time i finish a show and i feel i’ve made my audience happy.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I think I am very strict, I would be happy to be a bit easier going with myself and with my demands.
What is my greatest achievement in work? That I’m still doing it and I started this thing in high school, and I am still doing it.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me? To have a piece of mind to sit in a studio and let the music flow, because when you are bothered with the bills the creativity sometimes disappear, the opposite from a broken heart when creativity is just exploding.
Where would I most like to live? I live in Amsterdam which is the city I always wanted to live in, if not Amsterdam than New York.
What is my most treasured possession? My bass guitar, we are together since I was 19 years old.
What is my most marked characteristic? my passion and my directness are trademarks in my life and my work, i invest 150% on everything i do, good or bad.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? Nice question, I think the canals, especially in Jordaan area, they are very inspiring. one of the things i like to do best is to take a walk and watch the apartments located on the canals, its inspiring on every level.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? Impero Romano, fantastic traditional Italian restaurant, located in De Pijp area, I love it.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Tony Soprano as well as James Bond, which was my childhood hero. I even dedicated my song for him in my first album, Midnight Snacker.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My parents, Bob Marley, Sting, Kurt Cobain, and all the members from Massive Attack.
Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? Blade Runner, i think is one of the darkest science fiction movie i ever saw in my life, i can’t have enough of watching it.
What role plays art in my life and work? i can’t see my life without art. i dedicated my life to my work as an artist, i would say the most significant part of my life is art. i am married to art.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? King Dread James is the guy that i owe a huge part of my career, the Rasta-man from Amsterdam that i met before i even moved to the city. he was and still an inspiration for me, and helped me reach where i am now. especially on the tough periods when he told me that i am a lion, and lions supposed to fight.
Whom would I like to work with in 2017? i wish i would have the opportunity to work as a remixer or original, with the band members of Thievery Corporation from Washington DC, USA, who were through many many years an inspiring music group. i always dreamt to work with and corporate with them. i would also say, i wish i had the opportunity to work with Hans Zimmer from the music industry of the films, it is a big dream to do a full feature film in 2017.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2017? Thievery Corporation, as i mentioned before, are people i would like to meet. i would like to meet Burning Spear, reggae dub artist. Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, and maybe have a beer with the guys of Depeche Mode when they come to Amsterdam.
What project, in 2017, am I looking forward to work on? I’m working full power on finishing my second solo album, which is my main direction this year, my first full album came out in 2010. i think its a bout time my second one will be released.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? my life. the moment the passion stopped, there is now more point of going on, passion is what help us go through what we go through and make our dreams come true, without passion there is no life. passion is my number 1 motivated and what makes me go through fire every day again and again.
