What is the best thing that I love about my work ?

The symbolic music project, backed by Masonic culture is very satisfactory. All the more so because it combines with a charitable dimension.

“Josquin of Hiram” is the Masonic part of my musical activity, it allows me to have a different expression, totally released. It is exciting.

What is my idea of perfect happiness ?

The transmission. This is what allows us to be happy, that’s what matters, the rest matters little.

What is my greatest fear ?

I do not know if I’m afraid of anything or afraid of everything.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I think I’m too sensitive.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

Admiration is not a very healthy value in my opinion. But since it is necessary to answer, I would say that all musicians and artists, in general, are admirable for having “jumped off the rails”.

What is my greatest extravagance ?

Maybe to be Freemason to the «Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite» : for his utopia and the baroque character of his ritual.

In this rite I am elevated to the rank of “Grand Elect,Perfect and Sublime Master, Greatly elected of the sacred vault of Jacques VI” : If it is not extravagant. 😉

On what occasion would I lie?

I never lie, it is sometimes a problem. And I do not like liars they have “double heart”. ..

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Money. As in many areas money spoils everything.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

When I decide to start a work and it can be anywhere. This dazzling and imperious motivation that obliges to undertake, to do better.

If I could, what would I change about myself ?

Nothing to change, I try to accept myself as I am.

What is my greatest achievement in work ?

To live music for 30 years. It’s incredible when I think about it.

What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me ?

This is the meaning of what I realize with my double “Josquin of Hiram”: the freedom to create. But this is a fake problem, money is not necessary to create, it is necessary to produce and distribute.

Where would I most like to live ?

Paris suits me very well, for a mason is the city light … Or in a castle in Scotland why not.

What is my most treasured possession ?

My family ; My wife and my children, my parents … but they do not belong to me of course.

I think I’m a little too talkative …

What is my most inspirational location, in my city ?

I like «Notre Dame de Paris», or the catacombs … in general the ruins and the architectures of the past stimulate my imagination.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city ?

I do not go to the bar and very little in the restaurant. I do not like it, to drink and eat I prefer to be home and invite my friends.

What books influenced my life and how ?

It is “the vector of communication” par excellence. Books are the means of communicating with people of the past and the future … and the present

I know authors and surprising: I know them better by their books than by the moments spent with them.

Who are my favorite writers ?

I love Hemingway, Jack London and many others … I love adventure stories and all the more so if they are authentic : like Ernest Shackelton’s “The Odyssey of Endurance” or the works of Paul-Emile Victor, for example.

“The well tempered keyboard” by Maurizio Pollini: «3rd prelude and fugue» especially.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction ?

Antigone or Perseus perhaps. I love transgression, the fight against evil and of course symbols.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life ?

“I do not raise human idols but temples to virtue,” they say in masonry.

But since we must answer then: “free men with good morals”.

“Music for master masons”. This will be the third round that will close the blue massonics lodges cycle.
