What is the best thing that I love about my work?
Everything, actually! My work has allowed me to meet amazing people and collaborate in projects that have changed my life. But if i had to pick one thing, it would be that it allows me to create my own reality and deal with my issues of my daily life. It gives me magic and pleasure on a daily basis.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
I’ve been traveling and moving for many years now, and as i grow older, i think it would be having my family, friends, my husband and my work all in the same place. Add to that is to reach the recognition and financial stability with my personal work, settling in a comfy life.
What is my greatest fear?
Not reaching my goals in life and thinking i’ve wasted my time. I worry too much and over plan a lot, and it keeps me from enjoying the present.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I’m a gemini with a gemini ascendancy, which means that there is a whole bunch of people in my head. My mood can change as fast as a blink of an eye, and as much i control myself and isolate in my atelier when i’m angry, people closest to me tend to suffer a little bit.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
Many many many! I have amazing colleges around the world, who are making beautiful and meaningful art. Damien Chavez with his beautiful Klimt traits is one of them. Rubenimichi are very symbolical and amazing. Kevin wada is a beast on the comic book illustrations. As i said, many.
What is my greatest extravagance?
Time. I have no addictions to anything and i do not consider myself a good consumer of anything. Working for myself allows me to have more time to do my own thing and enjoy some privileges that most of my friends can’t. It’s the good part of not having a salary at the end of the month.
On what occasion would I lie?
To avoid suffering. Even though i think honesty is the best policy, since the truth only hurts once and set you free, i think sometimes people or myself are not prepared to deal with the real deal.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
The difficulty of it all. Since Art is mostly not consider a first necessity, most artists struggle to find recognition and fair payment for their work. And as the world becomes more and more globalized, we need to be social media and promoters experts, along producing our thing.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
When i sit to paint. There is no greater joy, seating on my house, in my atelier, painting for ours. My first solo exhibition was a moment to remember.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I wouldn’t worry too much and be so self critical. I suffer from the ailment of being my worst enemy, lol.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Reaching the minimum degree of skill i wanted, which for me, is closest to hyper realism. I’m very demanding on knowing technique and being good on my craft. So reaching a point where i’m pleased with the end result was a break through. Always room to improve, thought.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me?
True freedom. I count only with myself when it comes to my financial support, so since a very early age i had to be very very responsible with money. Having enough money to focus on my own work would be more than awesome.
Where would I most like to live?
I’ve lived in many different countires and cities, and i discovered that for me, the best place is where you have a reason to be and where you can be yourself and do what you love. I live in Madrid now, which is more than great right now.
What is my most treasured possession?
My family, and that includes my friends and husband.
What is my most marked characteristic?
I’m a funny and very very talkative person.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
For me is the Prado Museum. Being surrounded but that much talent gives a whole new meaning to being inspired.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
Madridis filled with good places to eat and drink. Spanish food is amazing if you know where to look for. In Madrid, i guess i would have to pick a restaurant named Caleta, which gives you an insane amount of seafood cooked in the most special and delicious way, and you eat with your hands.
What books influenced my life and how?
As a child i used to read a brazilian author named Monteiro Lobato, who valued brazilian culture and folklore in a way that gave much room for imagination. Anne of Green Gables also gave me a lot to think about. I’m a hungry reader, so i tend to read everything i put my hands on. Basecly fictional and biographical novels and poetry.
Who are my favorite writers?
I would have to say Fernando Pessoa, Manuel Bandeira, Tolkien, JK Rowling, Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, Keats, Bronté Sisters, many.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
Odisseus, i would have to say. I like human heroes, the ones who have many flaws and even making mystakes, they end up finding their call and doing the right thing.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Mother Theresa. Everyone who can put the need of others first, is a real heroe.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
What role plays art in my life and work?
Everything.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My mom and my husband. They are so far the people who knows me the best and the ones who have many interests in commum with me.

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2017?
So many. But in this case, i trust life to put the right people in the right time.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?
A hard truth. My passion is my work and passion does not know tireness, vacation time or personal life. It is always there, bruning and demanding. Once you’re passionate about something, you’re gone for anything else.
