What is the best thing that I love about my work? It’s not repetitive, I never do the same thing twice, and every time it’s a new challenge.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? I prefer an idea of constant pseudo serenity, perfect happiness can be a bit distressing, like the concept of eternal life.

What is my greatest fear?  I’m afraid to be not able to do more in the future

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Sometimes I’m lazy and I don’t like this aspect, but it’s part of me and I learned to live with it, fortunately it
doesn’t last long.

Which living people in my profession do I most admire? Philip Treacy, I really admire his ability to renew and not be equal to himself.

What is my greatest extravagance? As we say in Italy “always see the glass half full” I think that in this moment  optimism is very important.

When have I lied?? When I say “I can’t do  this” I punctually refute.

What is the thing that I completely dislike of my work?  Seriality, when I have to create the same things, work can become boring, but my optimism always takes
me to take advantage of these opportunities to improve my technique.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? When I do my  job I’m always  happy, in particular when I can tell people what I do and why I do it, and
above all how you can live with its own passions.

If I could, what would I change about myself? Nothing, otherwise I would be a different person from what I am now and I don’t want to change.

What is my greatest achievement in work?
Whenever someone relies on me, I do not seek clients, they look for me because they believe in me and it’s always a great success.

What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me?
These words do not make much sense to me. I think that  having a buyer who does not care  costs and allows you to use the most expensive materials in the world is fantastic; I have created beautiful things by using poor materials because lack of funds often leads me to use of unimaginable materials and  the results are much higher than expectations.

Where would I most like to live? There are many places in which I would live and they are also  related to my moods; in this moment I would live in Tallin in Estonia, because this town gives me  the feeling of being out of time.

What is my most treasured possession? My wife.

What is my most marked feature? optimism.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I left my hometown Rome after 45 years, I took inspiration from many places but now I have not found a place yet. In general, the sea is a great source for me.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? Kiri cafe, and the “400” restaurant makes excellent raw fish.

What books influenced my life and how? Two in particular that I still like to re‐read today, They are “Trip at the end of the night” by Louis Ferdinand Celine and  “The Enchanted Mountain” by Thomas Mann, maybe because I still do not know who I am or
what I want today.

Who are my favorite writers? Tara ben Jelloun, Coelho, Dostoevskij, Gogol, Italo Svevo, Mcewan, Poe, Stefano Benni, Beppe Fenoglio,Kerouak, Bukowsky.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? This is really a difficult question, I love music and in the past I even tried to make the musician. I think I
would start in the morning with Sibelius Symphony no. 5, in the afternoon I would listen to Clash Sandinista and Almagretta with album 4/4 and I would end up in the evening with Tartini the devil’s trill.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Donald Duck

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My wife who patiently endures my madness.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? Frankenstein junior by Mel Brooks

What role plays art in my life and work?  A fundamental role, a source of daily inspiration

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My family

With whom would I like to work  in 2017? Absolutely with Bjork!

Which people in my profession would I like to meet in 2017? Stephen Jones, Philip Treacy e John Galliano

What project, in 2017, am I looking forward to work on? I started a collaboration with a young, talented and very promising Italian fashion designer, if everything
goes off smoothy  we will have fun

Where can you see me or my work in 2017?
In November, a film by a Finnish director was to come out and I made costumes, a major work, The movie is called “I’am”. At the moment my website is under construction, but you can see my work on my face book page https://www.facebook.com/hatsandcrafts/

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? Living passions does not necessarily mean “doing the artist”. For  me passion is the basis of life, in everything
I do in the course of the day, even in the simple  gesture of doing the shopping at the market. It is essential for us to wake up with the smile in the morning, as we say here in Italy “The day is a bite” and it should be tasted until the end.
