My work gives me the chance to satisfy my need for expression.

Be allowed to be creative, to travel at my own pace and not spend too much time away from my partner.

Sometimes I worry too much beforehand for specific things that might go wrong… even when I know that I was capable to manage very similar situations in the past!

I don’t own a car.

I tend to lie not to hurt someone else‘s self esteem.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I totally hate when someone with limited knowledge in the field of design is put in the position of giving me specific directions about my work. This usually happens when working with big agencies or corporations: it’s the price I have to pay to have access to bigger projects.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
Last November when being recognized by a cultural institution dear to my heart for a design project I worked on with my partner. In that occasion I was able to discuss the creative process behind my work with people with great insight in the creative and cultural field. That moment was inspirational.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I’d like to know better when it’s time to take a break and relax.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Being able to say no to collaborations with people I don’t like and I don’t trust.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me?
I’m just glad I can make a living being a designer, doing a creative job I – most of the time – love doing. Financial needs sometimes can be a motivation to be more creative and find different outlets for my need for expression.
Where would I most like to live?
I’m quite happy in Milano but sometimes I dream of living in a bigger city or in a city with a warmer weather during the winter.
What is my most treasured possession?
My records collection.

Childish creativity.

I’m lucky enough to have my own small hidden and secret garden.

“Salomè” by Oscar Wilde with illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley has been a great literary and visual inspiration during my formative years.

Anything by Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows: music full of a special sadness that somehow ends up being comforting.

What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on?
I can’t wait to work on a museum exhibition at Museo del Novecento here in Milano and on a separate note I can’t wait to launch a new jewelry collection at the end of the year, in time for Christmas.
