What is the best thing that I love about my work?
It’s the freedom that It give to me. I can choose time for working and for relaxing, even if usually the second is smaller.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
A wood house in a forest, a small lake and a bonfire.
What is my greatest fear?
I’m the bigger critic about myself, so I’ve always the fear to take the wrong way of my work.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
My big self-control, some time I would like to be more mind-free.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
There are a lot of people that give me a big inspiration. Jim Woodring, Jesse Jacobs and Michael DeForge are my best authors.
What is my greatest extravagance?
I’m 2 meters for 105 kg, it’s enough.
On what occasion would I lie?
There is a lot of lie in the world I prefer the truth even if good or bad.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
It’s a lonely job and sometimes I feel like a hermit in a cave.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
This summer on the beach while I made a live visual for a concert it happened. There was is a good feeling between my work and the music.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I don’t know..I feel good ahaha
What is my greatest achievement in work?
My first graphic novel “kaleido” with Eris Edition that it will publish be out to the end of September 2018.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me?
Money and art are bad friends.
Where would I most like to live?
Really , I don’t know. Every time I think to be in the wrong place. Maybe, in the future, I will find the right place.
What is my most treasured possession?
It’s a pink mineral stone that I bought in Romania. It’s my lucky charm and It’s always with me.
What is my most marked characteristic?
The colors! Every time I research to explode the illustration with them.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
In Bologna we have San Luca. It’s a beautiful and big church on a Bologna’s hill. The way to go there it’s long and steep and you have a lot of time for yourself to think and find new ideas.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
A good picnic in Villa Spada.
What books influenced my life and how?
It’s a question that need a lot of words to answer. I read a lot and a lot of books inspired me. I think to understand myself, reading The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac and The Evolution Man, Once Upon an Ice Age, What We Did to Father by Roy Lewis.
Who are my favorite writers?
Alberto Moravia, Charles Bukowski, Jean Genet, Hermann Hesse and more…
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
I love Hulk because It’s a true symbol of our generation. We must be quiet and clean for the society but we have a big fear and rage inside.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
All people that work with them dreams. It’s hard and wonderful in the same time.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
Like books it’s a very difficult question. Maybe The Master by Paul Thomas Anderson or Stalker by Andrej Tarkovskij. They are two great and perfect movies that talk about philosophy, psychology, life, and society with a wonderful photography and
actors interpretation.
What role plays art in my life and work?
It’s all things. I need art like junkie need dope.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
I love the collaboration with Eris Edition and Stranedizioni. I love them works (also the people inside) and fortunately they appreciate my works.
Whom would I like to work with in 2018?
I’d like working so much for New Yorker and American magazine, maybe in the future.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2018?
There are a lot of people I haven’t only one.
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on?
I’m working on 4 new videoclip and other two subject for two new graphic novels
