What is the thing I most love about my work? My 14 first novels. It was a true pleasure to write them. Best thing in my life after my two daughters.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? Being alive and appreciate each second of my life.

What is my greatest fear? I have no fears. I faced cancer so many times in my life. We are only here, on Earth, for a little while….i’m ok with it. Nothing is really serious.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I speak a lot and during long hours when I talk about my passions and my books’ characters…

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? Richard Orlinski is the artist I admire the most. His creations, statues and the story of his life are for me a nice source of emulation to CREATE.

What is my greatest extravagance? Having colaborated with Jean Pierre Jeunet’s best actor JEAN CLAUDE DREYFUS. (City of Lost Children, Delicatessen) when I wrote with him my 4th novel « The 13 crimes of Theodem Falls »… It was such a great experience.

On what occasion would I lie? I would lie to protect someone. I would lie if i decided that « the truth » was not interesting, and that the lie was THE best option.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? To read 50 times my novel « the relecture in french » once finished writing…

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? When i wrote the second opus of my Saga LA PORTE ( The Door) i knew that i was able to write more than 1 novel and that i was going to write all my life long…

If I could, what would I change about myself? My sex appeal , so hard to manage it…..I’m joking ! The fact that i can be a LONER

What is my greatest achievement in work? THE DOOR saga, 7 volumes, there will be 15 or 17 opuses. And the Arsene Lupin trilogy.

Where would I most like to live? Canada or UK (Yorkshire…. Bronte Sisters’ region)

What is my most treasured possession? A black key opening a secret room in my house.

What is my most remarkable characteristic? I speak loud like my father…

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? A forest with a little bridge.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I love italian food, there are many italian restaurants in my city….

What books influenced my life and how? Jules Verne and Maurice Leblanc Arsene Lupin novels. I have so many traits in common with Arsene Lupin.

Who are my favorite writers? Emile Zola, Barjavel, Verne and Maurice Leblanc.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Mozart. Only Mozart. I’m a big fan of the group « MUSE » too…. An absolute for me.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Arsene Lupin, i’m writing a trilogy called « The Last Secret ». The first one’s title is « Arsene Lupin Funeral ».

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My parents and my daughters.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime ? Francis Ford Coppola ‘s Dracula.

What role plays art in my life and work? Everywthing nice is an inspiration for me.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My daughters, Shauna and Fauve DOUZET I’m writing a book with them called « Emma has a nice cancer » the title is ironic for sure…

Whom would I like to work with in 2019? I would love Jean Pierre Jeunet to direct my « 13 crimes of Theodem Falls » novel with his cult actor Jean Claude Dreyfus. Very hard to contact him. But I have faith I will… For 2020 I would love my 14 first books to be published in USA and UK…. Looking for the good person…

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2019? Gerard Depardieu. I have a project in mind with him.

What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on? I’m going to publish « Histoires Magiques & Secrètes » my 14th novel. After that, my Arsene Lupin trilogy and the 8th opus of my saga LA PORTE (The Door) I

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? Sometimes Passion retires for a while, but it comes back very quick.
