What is the best thing that I love about my work?

It is to touch the thrill of Fashion, seeing beauty and meet different people

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

“Stealing Beauty” of Bernardo Bertolucci and live in Valle d’Itria (Puglia – Italy)

What is my greatest fear?

Bad healthy for the people that I love

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Susceptibility. I am very respectful to the others and I pretend the same.

Another default is that sometimes, just for easiness, I don’t go down with things and I make confidence just on my ability of conversation without really knowing an argument.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?

To be honest it was a teacher that I’ve had at school when I was 13. She told me: “read all the time that you can, travel all the time that you can…and imagine everything that you want.”

She inspired me all the long of my life.

What is my greatest extravagance?

I’m a real quite person and I’m not able to be extravagant. But I was very dare when, at 39 years old, I left my life in Italy to start again in Paris (new life, new language and new job).

On what occasion would I lie?

When it is not necessary to tell the truth, for example when I want to protect people that I love from some things that I have heard or knew that can give just pain and that doesn’t really matter.

When it is not important to give all the details of a history to someone that I love, sometimes to protect him/her or our relationship

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

It is the stress from the pressure of business and the psychology fight with some personalities.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

It was in Paris, first time that someone gives me a chance in the fashion sell business also if I didn’t have any experiences. It was a magic moment in my life, when I’ve decided to re-born and give me a second chance to change my destiny. Move from the south of Italy where I was a computability employer to become a “ready-to-wear seller in Paris where I have discovered the world of fashion and a lot of different style and creators. All was really new for me, a hardest new start but with a lot of passion and positives emotions.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

A moment in my past when I was too fear to follow my artistic dreams and I’ve decided to be a practical and realistic person.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

It is my passion for fashion that make grown up my will… and my pedagogy attitude

Where would I most like to live?

I am in the place that I have dreamed until my childhood, Paris.

What is my most treasured possession?

It’s not a possession, it’s just my patrimony: the relationships and my partner.

What is my most marked characteristic?

A great relational that opens me a lot of possibilities …and I’m also very determined when I want something.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

Place des Vosges and the Marais area

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

Principally every place where the service is kindness and attentive cause, also if it is a stereotype, in Paris the service is not so nice every time

What books influenced my life and how?

It’s depend from the age that I have read. Stephen King dropped my adolescence with fears and dreams.

Some writers, like Michael Cunningum, the Italian classic “Porci con le ali, have forged my romantic idea of love.

“White teeth” Zadie Smith, “The history of Love” Nicole Krauss, “Middlesex” Jeffrey Eugenides, everything from Charles Bukowski have given form to my aesthetic.

Who are my favourite writers?

I will be repetitive: Charles Bukowski / Michael Cunningum / Zadie Smith / Nicole Krauss / Jeffrey Eugenides

What role plays art in my life and work?

Until my childhood I always dreamed to become a painter. I spent all my time drawing and one day my father asked me what I would to become when I will grow up. I told him “I want to be a painter” and he told me “do you know that the painters died lonely and poor?”…I was so scared and disappointed, my future was in danger. I started to consider on my career and then, one day, it hit me!!! I saw a fashion show and I understood: became a fashion designer to drawing all the time, create something beautiful and being rich.

It means the source of happiness, because my personal passions move me to make something, to realise some projects, move me to some people that inspire me…and make me feel alive and energy
