What is the best thing that I love about my work? The sync of my hands action,combinated with my inspiration. I always smile when i feel that.
What is my idea of happiness? Trying to paint the world one day i one body of peace. This idea wakes me up everyday,along with my first coffee.
What is my greatest fear? I fear nothing and no one,but i fear the time loss.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Not being ready for the next day,because i think it’s important to be and it’s a waste of energy,if it doesn’t show up.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? My wife,because she’s the other coin face of the artist i am.
What is my greatest extravagance? Collecting insignificant objects along the years. People will talk about on every occasion. It looks like i am trying to give life to everything i come across. The word waste doesn’t exist for me,unless it’s about the abused time which never comes back.
On what occasion would I lie? Never. For me,telling the truth at all times is the only balance which keeps the world moving in the right direction. Lie is a bad invention.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? The thing i don’t want to do. Especially the ones against my conscience.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Always,i think. I am never pushed to go to work,any work,otherwise i am doing it backwords. Art accepts me,whether good or not. The best place is the place i usually like and don’t choose.
If i could,what would i change about myself? Nothing. I am accepting the journey of my life with its ups and downs. It would be sour or bitter, somehow flat,if i tend to make it flexible.
What is my greatest achievement in work? I brought a team of artists together,to achieve one common work on a single canvas,which traveled many countries. All that for peace.
Where would i most like to live? Anywhere close to the sea. I love to connect the world under with the one above,the sky will be witness,and to show respect to mother earth.
What is my most treasured possession? My soul. It is the only capital i have to give back one day as a black box.
What is my most marked characteristic? Standing for peace,through which everything is possible.
What is my most inspirational location,in my city? Few coffee shops. A place at my office. I will return back for an artistic purpose,even if i quit or get fired.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink,in my city? I always pick a cuisine all over town. I love the culinary diversity,but my favorite place,without contest remains my wifes kitchen.
What books influenced my life and how? “You can’t be neutral in a moving train” of Howard Zinn. It treats about justice and the impact of each human action should be considered,to be corrected or followed.
You die once. What music would i listen on my last day? The pink Floyd. For their broad subjects and the address to humanity.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Captain Kirk. A great symbol of courage and leadership.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? The humming bird who comes everyday at my backyard flapping million wings to survive. My fish,putting up with my fishtank water,with no word.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? The civil action. Stared John Travolta and Robert Duval.
What role plays art in my life and work? I try to contemplate and avoid all the technicalities. Art is in my words,my sight and my breath. There is no way i can run away from it. Art is the crunches of the soft walker i am.
What do the words”you are the storyteller of your own life”to me? It might be other storytellers about my life out there,which i may know or i may not know of. The most genuine one belongs to me,with slight exceptions of how others look at my works and actions.
Who is my greatest fan,sponsor,partner in crime? Sofiane.G. The bravest heart in doing things for me,despite my position. A real friend ever. Nachida.H. on the womans side. Both are the Knights who lightened my dark days. I can never thank them enough.
Which people and companies would i like to work with in 2020………? Nobody in mind for the time being. Out of my head…Gallery le Paon in Algeria. Gallery Aida,in Algeria. All the art gallerie in San Diego,Los Angeles,New York and London.
What project, in 2020,am i looking forward to work on? The message of peace,through a traveling big size canvas,all over the world,called “Hirak”. Peace is a global work and it should start from somewhere,i had to choose the country of Algeria. The most expressive and significant patchwork painting in my artist career. It is almost done. I am working on the rest of the project.
