What is the best thing that I love about my work? Through my work, I’m able to create unique things. They will never be the same to those of the other authors (unless I want to copy them, but that is obviously a theft!)

What is my idea of perfect happiness? To be able to live on comics, which, at least for now, it is not possible.

What is my greatest fear? The death, not the death in itself, but the fear to not be able to realize all I want… to not have enough time.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?  I give up easily.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Matteo Casali, Luca Barbieri e Leonardo Valenti. They are leader for me.

What is my greatest extravagance?  I have too many extravagances. I think that the most important one is to have seen 10 times all 6 seasons of Lost. This is crazy, even for me!

On what occasion would I lie?  I try to never lie, I don’t like it.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?  Often, I have to deal with not serious people and it’s a waste of time.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?  When I published my first Diabolik story and my first Tex story.

If I could, what would I change about myself?  Nothing I’m OK. The world is wrong.

What is my greatest achievement in work?  Like before, Tex and Diabolik stories.

What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me? They mean not so much to me. I prefer the freedom to create. That’s all.

Where would I most like to live?  In Lucca. But only if I write comics.

What is my most treasured possession? My comics, obviously.

What is my most marked characteristic? Never give up, I’m the king of the mission impossible!

What books influenced my life and how? Eragon. It gave me the desire to write.

Who are my favorite writers? In general? Damon Lindelof, Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke, Matteo Casali, Tito Faraci.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Kansas. Carry On Wayward Son.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Tex Willer.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My parents.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? The Deads Poets Society, the trilogy “Before” by Linklater, as well as “ Boyhood”. And don’t forget the musical “Hair”!

What role plays art in my life and work? In my day-to-day job nothing, because I have another job for a living. Art is just a hobby. If I ever live on art… I wish!

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?  I don’t think to have one.

Whom would I like to work with in 2019? Big dreams… I reply by saying with which editors I’d like to publish: Heavy Mmetal, Soleil, Delcourt, Dargaud, Sergio Bonelli Editore, Astorina.

Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2019? There are too many.

What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on?  All top secret.
