04 November The Hero’s Journey in Paris: Your Guide to Confrontation

The Hero’s Journey Guide to Confrontation

A bossy colleague keeps pushing a really bad idea. Your manager tells you you do not deserve a raise. And once again, you end up with the least interesting tasks in the project.

What do you do? Do you give in? Avoid the conversation altogether? Or push your point through, hoping for the best?

Every confrontation is a moment in your story—and the way you respond reveals which archetype is leading the scene. Are you the Warrior who speaks truth? The Caregiver who soothes to keep peace? The Orphan who feels attacked? Or the Sage who analyzes from a distance?

Confrontation is rarely comfortable. But avoiding it comes at a cost. There is another option. You can learn how to confront in a way that feels honest, clear, and constructive—by understanding which archetype serves you, and which one keeps you stuck in your Hero’s Journey.

“Twelve Archetypes of Conflict” over Paris landmarks, with labeled figures including Victor Hugo, Edgar Degas, Charles Baudelaire, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Marcel Proust, Yves Saint Laurent, Hector Berlioz, Samuel Beckett, and Pierre Cardin.

Learn How to Confront Through the 12 Archetypes

When handled with care, confrontation can open the door to better conversations and stronger working relationships. This training helps you find words for what you need, and the courage to speak them out loud—by discovering which of the 12 archetypes is running the show when tension rises.

You explore how verbal and non-verbal communication shape difficult conversations. How to express yourself clearly, without attacking or withdrawing. And how to stay present when things feel tense. Instead of shying away from conflict or forcing your way through, you learn how to engage with confrontation in a more thoughtful way—accessing the archetype that serves the moment.

The Hero’s Journey Guide to Confronting with Skill

In this one-day training, you explore how to confront others with more confidence and tact. You will discover your dominant conflict archetype—and understand how each of the 12 archetypes handles confrontation differently. What effect does this have on your work, your relationships, and your fulfillment?

Together with a small group of peers, you practise different ways of setting boundaries, expressing disagreement, and improving the quality of your conversations. Not to win an argument, but to stay true to yourself and draw more energy from your work. This is the warrior’s code: fight for what matters, but never lose your humanity.
