03 November The Hero’s Journey in Amsterdam: The New Leader’s Story

The Challenge of the New Leader

Have you also been looking forward to leading a team? It’s the reward for your hard work—but it brings a profound shift in your tasks and responsibilities. And if you want to do it well, you’ll need to master the art of storytelling. Leadership amplifies both your strengths and your blind spots. So how do you become the leader whose story inspires others?

Become an Effective Leader Through Your Story

As a leader, you have the power—and the responsibility—to help others bring out the best in themselves. But when you start leading others, you inevitably encounter your own story. That’s why it’s essential to understand the roots of your own behavior and the narrative you’re living. This is what transforms you into a more effective leader: one who shows up for others, communicates with honesty, and provides clear direction through the power of story.

In this training, you’ll develop your own vision of leadership—a compass for your daily work life. You’ll learn how to motivate your people through storytelling and gain deeper insight into how your own feelings and behavior shape the leader’s story.

Develop Your Leadership Story

Over two days, you’ll explore what it truly means to be a good leader—and learn how to develop your own leadership story. You’ll examine your talents and blind spots, understand your impact as a leader, and form a clear vision for the story you want to tell as you lead others.

During this leadership training, you will:

  • Explore which examples of good leadership and powerful stories apply to you
  • Examine your ideals, weaknesses, strengths, and doubts around leadership and the story you’re living
  • Address the most important leadership challenges: from creating a compelling vision through storytelling to enabling others to do their best work
  • Discover how you can lead authentically and in what ways your story inspires your team
  • Learn how to lead from a place of confidence in yourself and trust in others—owning the leader’s story

Who Is This Training For?

Are you a new leader? Or do you aspire to lead? Develop Your Leadership Story is for professionals with the ambition to lead authentically, effectively, and empathetically through the power of storytelling. And it all begins with looking at your own story.

Already have a few years of leadership experience? Then a more advanced professional training may be a better fit for you.
