What is the best thing that I love about my work? Painting allows me to lose myself, I guess it might be a paradox as in reality it also allows me to find myself. Meditating whilst mixing paint colours for instance, how good is that?

What is my idea of happiness? Happiness for me depends upon the wellbeing of those people i love, if they are peaceful, relaxed, safe and happy then that is my happiness.
What is my greatest fear? It is two fold, firstly that i might stop breathing before i have finished this painting journey and secondly that humankind will continue to sponsor willful ignorance regarding our precious environment.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Which one should i mention…patience has never been a virtue i am focussed on being a better listener it is a huge work in progress.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? I admire so many but right now i am soaking up the work of British landscape artist Harry Brioche, his work is superb.
What is my greatest extravagance? I made sweeping changes to lifestyle some years ago the changes included eliminating extravagance.
On what occasion would I lie? There have been occasions usually to do with other artists work, i mean why be unkind…
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? How so often a triumph produced in the past and placed in to storage mysteriously turns in to a monster when later you open the cupboard.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Years ago i worked at Vogue magazine and later at Harpers Bazaar both in London they were magical times. Right now it is when ever i am working in my studio space.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I would like to talk less, you know, let other people have a turn now and again.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Finding the courage to show an audience what i have produced.
Where would I most like to live? I am fortunate to have travelled far and wide there are so many beautiful places. Australia is my home now i am very lucky.
What is my most treasured possession(s)? Hedy Lamar and Judy Garland my two Border Collies (although i believe they posses me).
What is my most marked characteristic? Too passionate for my own good. An ability to focus and get things done might be the answer.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I live and work near the Great Dividing Range well part of it, The Illawarra Escarpment to be precise. I have painted it many times each time is a different experience as is the sky above it which is different every single hour of every single day.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? At home with my family.
What books influenced my life and how? As a child i read The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier, twice in fact, it taught me the importance of hope and optimism of never giving up and that sadness and fear is inevitable at some stage in life but you can cope and get through anything.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day? The album Cold Fact by Rodriguez.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Dirty Harry
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? The ‘chain breakers’ those that determine better outcomes for their children based upon their own experiences growing up plus those who find the strength to recover from addiction.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Un homme et une femme written and directed by Claude Lelouch
What role art plays in my life and work? Art grounds me, it enables me to think, it keeps me mindful, especially it keeps me hungry for knowledge, i mean learning is so sexy right?
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me? Reading stories helps us define our own self. My life is a story, it is edited by me by my actions, how i react to and deal with the consequences of my actions. Such as when i changed my life completely and began to paint.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My muse Jessica Jane Taylor, she knows me so well its a little scary, my oxygen plain and simple.
